Arts Grant Awarded to Vandergrift

Great news!

Vandergrift Improvement Program was recently awarded a grant that will help fund the Vandergrift Fine Arts Festival, which is scheduled for the summer of 2007.

This project was supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, through its regional arts funding partnership, Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA). State government funding comes through an annual appropriation by Pennsylvania's General Assembly and from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. PPA is administered in this region by the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance.

We are excited about bringing together local artists and the Vandergrift community! The Fine Arts Festival will focus on traditional art mediums such as painting, drawing, and sculpture.

If you are an artist in Vandergrift or are interested in helping with the Fine Arts Festival, please contact Shaun at the Vandergrift Improvement Program: shaun@phlf.org or #724-567-5286
