The Vandergrift Main Street Program is in Year 3 and has been officially designated by DCED. The Vandergrift Improvement Program’s mission is to protect, preserve, and restore the strength of the existing community both in its central business district and residential neighborhoods. Here are two pictures of 143 Grant Avenue showing the facade restoration work in progress. The building got a new roof, repaired parapet, repointed brick, and rehabilitated storefront with new transom windows.
